My name is Herman. I'm a software architect and entrepreneur. Currently I'm working on Holmes, a secure router that will give you more insight in and control over your home network.
Between 2009 and 2016 I studied Computer Science at the University of Twente in Enschede. I have completed the Computer & Information Security specialization called the Kerckhoff's Institute, which was a joint program by universities in Twente, Eindhoven and Nijmegen. For a full list of courses I completed, see my LinkedIn profile.
I'm interested in Computer & Information Security, E-Commerce, Machine Learning and internet technology in general. In the past I have implemented a couple of websites and web shops running on Wordpress and Magento and know my way around Drupal and many other systems. When I'm not at work, I'm most likely trying out new technology. Some of these projects can be found on my GitHub profile.
In my free time I like to play the flugelhorn and the trumpet. I also like watching movies, occasionally playing a game and reading both technical and non-technical books.
